Payroll Manager

Salary: £38,930–£46,445 pro rata Location: Cardiff – hybrid working Contract: Temporary, circa four months | 37 hours per week Closing date: 27 September 2026 An exciting opportunity to join one of the region’s most prestigious and highly regarded organisations. This is a visible, influential assignment where your expertise will be trusted and your ideas welcomed. Leading a small team, you will oversee several monthly payrolls covering more than 500 people. You will ensure accurate, timely delivery while strengthening controls, resolving complex issues and identifying smarter ways of working. What you’ll bring Experience managing payroll for 500+ employees. Strong payroll legislation and compliance knowledge. Confidence resolving complex payroll queries and calculations. Team leadership or supervisory experience. Excellent stakeholder-management and customer-service skills. CIPP membership. Experience with iTrent/MHR would be a strong advantage.
