The Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Geography Teacher to join a dynamic and forward-thinking department. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' lives while contributing to a school community that values excellence in teaching and learning.
Key responsibilities include:
Planning and delivering engaging, challenging lessons in line with the Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 Geography curriculum.
Using a range of teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of learners and support progress and attainment.
Regularly monitoring and assessing pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and targeted interventions where required.
Collaborating closely with colleagues within the Geography department and across the wider school to enhance curriculum delivery and teaching practice.
Promoting positive behaviour and maintaining a culture of high expectations.
Supporting the wider school ethos, including pupil wellbeing, safeguarding, and inclusion.Person Specification
The ideal candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching Geography at secondary level.
Possess strong subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring students in Geography.
Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate learners.
Be committed to maintaining a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
Take a proactive approach to professional development and collaborative working.
Have a strong understanding of assessment strategies and use data effectively to support pupil progress.Why Join?
