Accounts Senior – Accountancy Practice Location: Verwood, Dorset Rate: £26 - £32 per hour Contract: Temporary Hours: Full-time Working Pattern: On-site / hybrid once started CMR Jobs are working with an established accountancy practice in Verwood who are looking for an experienced Accounts Senior to provide additional support to their team on a temporary basis, with a potential to go permanent for the right candidate. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with previous accountancy practice experience who can quickly get up to speed and confidently manage accounts preparation work with minimal supervision. Key responsibilities * Preparing year-end and statutory accounts for a varied portfolio of clients * Completing accounts from client records through to final preparation * Supporting clients with bookkeeping queries and resolving discrepancies * Preparing basic corporation tax and personal tax computations where required * Completing reconciliations and ensuring accurate financial records * Liaising directly with clients to obtain information and resolve queries * Supporting the wider practice with accounts and general compliance work The ideal candidate * Previous experience working within an accountancy practice is essential * Strong experience preparing year-end accounts for a range of clients * Comfortable working independently and managing your own workload * Good knowledge of bookkeeping, reconciliations and basic tax * Confident communicating directly with clients * Qualified, part-qualified or QBE candidates will all be considered * Available at short notice and able to commute to Verwood This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practice accountant looking for a well-paid temporary assignment with a friendly, established local firm.
