1:1 Secondary Tutor - Chester Location: Chester Hours: 5-15 hours per week Start Date: September 2026 Duration: Ongoing Prospero Teaching are looking for a motivated 1:1 Secondary Tutor to provide personalised educational support to a learner in Chester. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, establish a strong rapport with the learner and create structured lessons that respond to their individual academic needs. Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging 1:1 secondary tuition Plan lessons around individual targets Support learners across core subjects Adapt resources and teaching methods Build confidence and encourage positive engagement Help the learner develop effective study habits Monitor and report on progress Requirements Previous experience teaching or tutoring secondary-aged learners Strong subject knowledge Experience delivering 1:1 support desirable Excellent communication and organisational skills Patient and adaptable approach Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one Right to Work in the UK Two professional child-related references Prospero Teaching is acting as an employment business and education recruitment agency in relation to this vacancy
