Head of Maintenance

A well-established real estate entity with an in-house maintenance team is looking for an experienced Head of Maintenance to lead its operational delivery across a mixed portfolio of residential and commercial properties. This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for day-to-day operations, team management, client relationships, compliance, commercial performance and business development. You will oversee everything from reactive residential repairs and planned maintenance through to larger commercial contracts and refurbishment projects. The role would suit a commercially minded maintenance or facilities leader who can improve operational performance while continuing to grow the business.Duties

• Lead the day-to-day delivery of maintenance services across residential properties, multi-unit blocks and commercial premises
• Manage scheduling, workforce allocation, job costing, quality control and service delivery
• Recruit, lead, train and develop technicians, supervisors, team leaders and office-based staff
• Oversee teams covering plumbing, electrical, heating, HVAC, plant, access systems and general building maintenance
• Maintain high standards of health and safety, risk management and regulatory compliance
• Manage contractor controls, risk assessments and permit-to-work processes where required
