Warehouse Operative / FLT Driver

TXM Recruit are recruiting for a Stores Operative based in Burton on Trent on a contract basis. Location: Burton on Trent Shifts: 8am to 4.30pm Monday to Thurs and 8.00am to 1pm Friday. OT 1.33 in the week 1.5 Saturday and 1.8 Sunday Hourly Rate: Competitive 1 x Stores Operative - (Driving Licence & FLT/Counterbalance is essential. Valid and in-date MHE licenses for a Reach Truck & Counterbalance Truck, VNA and Bendi certificates. We are looking for individuals from a rail or rolling stock background predominantly however individuals from the following Industries considered: Rolling Stock / RAIL/ Royal Navy / RAF / REME / British Army/ General Engineering/Aerospace/Automotive who have experience of working in an engineering environment. Job Description: TXM are currently looking to recruit a Stores Operative to join us on a contract basis in our customers busy Stores Department. It is important that the person who applies has an eye for detail and can follow company working practices to ensure the product leaves the company right first time. Responsibilities: Valid and in-date MHE licenses for Reach Truck & Counterbalance Truck, VNA and Bendi certificates. * Conducting physical inventory checks * Operating Reach Truck & Counterbalance Truck and Bendi Truck * Working as part of a team under the supervision of the Stores Manager * Receive Goods in * Check delivery notes/packing slips to ensure accuracy of delivery. * Picking and packing of sales orders * Liaise with other departments when materials/parts arrive. * Completing weekly/monthly stock takes as requested. * Van driving for collections/deliveries as and when required. * Support with Stores Administration duties as required and to provide cover for the Stores Administrator in their absence. * Loading/Offloading goods from vehicles. * Picking of kits, production picklists & engineers’ reorders. Skills: * A keen eye for detail and accuracy * Good communication skills * Able to work individually or as part of a team. * Good level of IT ability and a willingness to learn. * Must be able to multi-task. * Able to prioritise workload. * Punctual Due to the nature of the job all relevant PPE and overalls will be supplied
