Working in Poole, you'll be joining a business where your input genuinely matters and your development is supported: £40,000 - £45,000 salary 28 days holiday including Bank Holidays Team socials and a supportive working culture Opportunity to influence design and production decisions Join a business in Poole that is actively growing Hands-on exposure across design, build, and commissioning Key Responsibilities: As an Electrical Design Engineer, you'll play a key role in both the design office and the workshop: Design electrical systems, control panels, and layouts using SolidWorks and CAD tools Work closely with the production team to support the build, wiring, and assembly of machinery Translate design concepts into practical, manufacturable solutions Produce and maintain electrical schematics, drawings, and technical documentation Assist with hands-on tasks including panel wiring, machine builds, and system modifications Support testing, commissioning, and fault-finding on completed systems Collaborate with mechanical engineers to ensure seamless integration of systems Identify design improvements based on feedback from the shop floor Ensure compliance with relevant electrical and safety standards Provide ongoing engineering support during production and post-installation What we're looking for: We're seeking a motivated Electrical Design Engineer with a strong blend of design and hands-on capability: Degree, HNC, or HND in Electrical Engineering or related discipline Strong experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD software Background in an industrial or manufacturing environment Ability to work both as a design-focused engineer and a hands-on Electrical Engineer Strong understanding of control systems and electrical components Experience producing and interpreting electrical schematics Problem-solving mindset with strong fault-finding skills Exposure to bespoke machinery and workshop environments Knowledge of PLCs and automation systems Panel design and build experience within a Production Engineer or manufacturing settingIf you're looking for your next step as an Electrical Design Engineer in Poole, and want a role where you can genuinely shape projects from concept through to completion, we'd love to hear from you.
