SEN Teaching Assistant - Sheffield Tradewind Recruitment | £95-£120 per day Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work within a specialist secondary school in Sheffield, supporting young people aged 11-19 with autism and communication and interaction difficulties. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about SEN who can build positive relationships, provide consistent support and help pupils develop academically, socially and emotionally. The Role Support pupils with autism and a range of additional learning needs. Work alongside teachers to deliver engaging and accessible learning activities. Provide 1:1 and small-group support where required. Help pupils manage emotions, develop social skills and navigate the school day. Adapt communication and support strategies to meet individual needs. Promote positive behaviour, independence and confidence. Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to create a structured learning environment. Please note: Working in a specialist SEN setting requires patience, resilience and consistency. Some pupils may experience anxiety, sensory overload or difficulties with communication and emotional regulation.
