Job Title: Site Supervisor (Plant Operations) Location: Dudley, West Midlands (On-site) Salary: £26,484 – £29,484 per year (DOE) Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00 About the Role An opportunity has arisen for a hands-on Site Supervisor to join a busy operational plant environment based in Dudley. This role combines practical, physical work with team leadership responsibilities, ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant handling of incoming materials on site. This is an active role suited to someone who enjoys working with equipment, leading by example, and maintaining high safety and operational standards. What’s in it for you * Full-time, secure employment with structured working hours * Ongoing training, upskilling, and career development opportunities * Hands-on role with real operational responsibility * Strong safety culture and supportive team environment * Opportunity to develop leadership skills within a growing organisation * 25 days holiday + bank holidays * Company pension scheme * Health & wellbeing support (HSF) * Retail discount platform (Wider Wallet) * Referral programme * Free life insurance (after qualifying period) Key Responsibilities Site Operations & Materials Handling * Carry out pre-use FLT inspections and report any defects * Safely operate a counterbalance forklift truck in line with site safety procedures (P.A.S.S. policy) * Receive and act as first point of contact for incoming deliveries * Unload incoming waste materials for inspection and processing * Operate weighbridge and pallet scales to record incoming loads * Segregate and store inspected waste safely, ensuring compliance with compatibility and containment requirements Safety, Compliance & Housekeeping * Maintain full compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards * Ensure safe storage conditions including leak prevention and stable stacking * Maintain high site housekeeping standards (sweeping, litter picking, drum crushing) * Support safe working practices across the site at all times Requirements Essential * Valid FLT Counterbalance licence * Experience working in a health & safety focused environment Desirable * Previous experience in hazardous waste or similar regulated industry * Warehousing or industrial operations experience * Prior supervisory or team leader experience
