The Role You’ll support senior engineers across a range of projects, building your capability in fire strategy and design work. • Assist in the development of fire strategies and reports • Support design teams with fire safety input • Contribute to technical documentation and calculations • Attend site visits and inspections to understand real-world application • Learn how to navigate Building Regulations and approval processes • Develop your understanding of performance-based design over time What They’re Looking For • Degree in Fire Engineering or similar • Around 1 to 3 years’ experience in a fire engineering or consultancy environment • Exposure to fire strategy or design work (even at a supporting level) • Basic understanding of Building Regulations and fire safety guidance • Strong communication skills and willingness to learn Nice to have: • Any exposure to modelling tools or performance-based design • Early steps toward professional membership The Reality If you’ve only done FRAs or compliance checks, you’ll struggle here. If you’ve had even a bit of exposure to design and want to build a proper fire engineering career, this is a strong place to do it
