The School & Role
A well-established and highly regarded primary school in central Greenwich is seeking a committed Primary Class Teacher to join their team from September 2026.
The school is known for its strong academic outcomes, rich curriculum and vibrant school community. There is a clear focus on high-quality teaching, with an emphasis on reading, writing and creative learning across the curriculum.
Staff work within supportive year group teams with shared planning in place, helping to reduce workload and ensure consistency. Leadership is experienced and approachable, with a strong emphasis on professional development and staff wellbeing.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for a Year 4 class, supporting pupils as they develop independence and confidence within KS2.
Key Responsibilities
Planning and delivering engaging lessons across the KS2 curriculum
Supporting progress in reading, writing and maths
Using assessment effectively to inform teaching
Maintaining high expectations for behaviour and learning
Working collaboratively with colleagues and support staff
The Ideal Candidate
The school is looking for a Primary Teacher who:
Holds QTS with recent UK primary teaching experience
Has experience in KS2
Demonstrates strong classroom management
Is organised, reflective and proactive
Works well within a collaborative teamBoth ECTs and experienced teachers are encouraged to apply.
