HGV Technician Opportunity with Excellent Benefits Career Progression Our client, a reputable franchise-approved commercial vehicle dealership based in Newport, is seeking a fully qualified and experienced HGV Technician to join their Service Department. This is a permanent opportunity offering a "4 on 4 off" shift pattern, with excellent career prospects within a leading dealer group and brand. Benefits: Up to £20 per hour, depending on experience Bonuses and overtime paid at time and a half Enhanced annual leave entitlement Full manufacturer-approved training programmes Company pension scheme Access to a £600 per annum commitment bonus and a £750 profit-sharing bonus 23 days’ annual leave plus designated days off for Christmas and New Year’s Day (plus lieu entitlement if these fall on working days) Opportunity for career development within a well-established industry leader Working hours from 6:00am to 6:00pm on a "4 on 4 off" shift pattern; flexible days available upon applicationDuties as a HGV Technician: Perform all scheduled service and maintenance work efficiently whilst maintaining the manufacturer's quality standards Conduct comprehensive diagnosis and repairs of HGV malfunctions Support workshop colleagues with technical issues and updates Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and health & safety standards Document diagnoses, repairs, services, and safety inspections accurately Contribute to customer retention by delivering professional service at all times Maintain high standards of workmanship in a fast-paced workshop environment Assist in supporting technical training and innovations within the teamRequirements: Fully qualified HGV Technician / Mechanic, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent Practical hands-on experience post-qualification is highly desirable Strong technical diagnostic and repair skills Excellent team player with a committed work ethic Ability to produce high-quality work under pressure Living in or within reasonable commuting distance of Newport Hold an active HGV driving licence is advantageous but not essentialIf you are a dedicated HGV Technician seeking a role with excellent pay, training, and career advancement opportunities, this vacancy is ideal for you.
