MET Technician

Recruit4staff are representing an established vehicle accident repair and bodyshop business in their search for a MET Technician to work in Speke, Liverpool

Job Details:

• Pay: £17.00 - £19.00 per hour
• Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm, 40 hours per week
• Duration: Permanent
• Benefits: 22 days holiday plus bank holidays, standard pension, friends and family discount scheme and retail discount scheme

Job Role: As a MET Technician, you will be responsible for assessing faults across a range of vehicle makes and models, carrying out diagnostics using bodyshop diagnostic equipment and stripping and refitting vehicle components. The MET Technician will work on mechanical, electrical and trim components, including bumpers, doors, lights, dashboards, interior trim, cooling systems, suspension and steering components.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

• Previous experience working as a MET Technician or within a similar vehicle repair role
• Experience stripping and refitting vehicle components and parts
• Experience removing and refitting mechanical, electrical and trim components
• Ability to carry out vehicle diagnostics and fault assessment
• Full UK driving licence
• The MET Technician must be able to work accurately and effectively across a range of vehicle makes and models

Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications

• Previous OEM experience would be preferred for the MET Technician position
• Level 2 or Level 3 Apprenticeship in Vehicle Accident Repair
• Level 3 Vehicle Damage Mechanical, Electrical & Trim qualification
