Location: Kirklees
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week

Umar Tawil at CRA Consulting is currently working with a Local Authority in Kirklees who are looking to appoint experienced Safeguarding Lawyers across both Children's and Adults' Legal Services.
If you are an experienced safeguarding lawyer looking for a permanent opportunity offering flexibility and a varied caseload, I'd be keen to speak with you.

The Role

You will provide high-quality legal advice and representation across a range of safeguarding matters, working closely with social workers, managers and other professionals.
Responsibilities may include:

• Advising on complex children's or adults' safeguarding matters.
• Providing clear and practical legal advice to social care teams.
• Supporting care proceedings and safeguarding-related legal processes.
• Preparing legal documentation and advising on appropriate courses of action.
• Representing the Local Authority at court and hearings where required.
• Managing a varied caseload and meeting deadlines.
• Working closely with social workers and senior managers on complex and sensitive cases.
• Keeping up to date with relevant legislation and case law.

About You

I'm keen to hear from qualified lawyers with relevant Children's or Adults' Social Care/Safeguarding experience.
Ideally, you will have:

• Qualification as a Solicitor, Barrister or CILEX Lawyer.
• Relevant safeguarding or social care legal experience.
• Strong knowledge of the relevant legal framework.
• Experience providing legal advice to professional clients.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• The ability to manage a busy caseload effectively.
