This is a hands-on management role for an experienced electrical engineering professional who can coordinate engineers, manage site activities and build strong customer relationships, while providing practical technical support when required. The role is primarily based at customer sites, with some workshop responsibilities.

You’ll take responsibility for:

Leading and coordinating site service engineers, providing technical guidance and practical support
Planning workloads, allocating resources and managing schedules to deliver work safely, efficiently and to a high standard
Overseeing the installation, assembly, wiring, testing and commissioning of electrical distribution equipment
Remaining hands-on with complex installations, fault-finding, repairs and commissioning activities
Managing maintenance work and warranty investigations, ensuring issues are resolved effectively
Acting as the main customer contact during site works, communicating progress and resolving technical or service issues
Reviewing electrical and mechanical drawings and supporting engineers with technical queries
Ensuring site teams follow health and safety requirements, site procedures and quality standards
Maintaining clear service records, test documentation and site reports
Supporting the development of engineers and identifying improvements to service delivery
Travelling regularly across the UK and Europe, with flexibility to work outside standard hours when required
What we’re looking for

Experience leading engineers and managing installation, commissioning or service activities
The ability to balance team management with hands-on technical work
Strong planning and organisational skills, including managing competing priorities
Confidence reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical drawings
Strong fault-finding, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Relevant technical training or engineering qualifications
ECS accreditation
A full UK driving licence
A safety-conscious approach and the confidence to maintain high standards on site
Clear communication skills and experience managing customer expectations
If you’re an experienced site service leader who enjoys developing engineers, taking ownership of customer delivery and staying involved in practical engineering, we’d like to hear from you
