For more information, please check out our basic website at   We are seeking a dedicated Speech and Language Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate may have a background in speech and language therapy, the use of AAC and experience of providing direct support to non or partially speaking autistic people. Initially on a one year fixed term contract but, subject to negotiation after six months, the role could become permanent. Using Video Reflective Practice: making and watching videos for the purposes of self-reflection and advocating for the person supported. Providing guidance, support, coaching and training to families, caregivers, and outside clinicians on strategies and techniques to facilitate communication development at home and in the community. Monitoring and evaluating people’s progress regularly, adjusting things as needed to optimise outcomes and ensure ongoing engagement and motivation from everyone involved. Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and professional development activities to share knowledge, expertise, and best practices with colleagues and contribute to the continuous improvement of services. Stay informed about current research, trends, and advancements in the field of speech and language therapy through ongoing learning and professional development opportunities. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech and Language Therapy or a related field from an accredited institution. Normal working hours will be between 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday but the role will require some flexibility over how and when these hours are worked. As the post holder will be working alongside people as part of their everyday activities, occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
