Travel required

The following information provides an overview of the skills, qualities, and qualifications needed for this role.

Pearse Portfolio are supporting a PE-backed infrastructure business in looking for an Interim FP&A Director to take ownership of the FP&A function and raise it to investor and lender grade at a pivotal point for the business.

This is a hands-on, diagnostic-led role. You will come in, take a hard look at how planning, forecasting and reporting work today, and rebuild what needs rebuilding. High autonomy, direct exposure to the CFO and investors, and a clear mandate to leave behind a function that runs.

The brief

  • Deep-dive the current FP&A function: models, forecasting, budgeting and management reporting
  • Rebuild the planning and forecasting process, with rollout economics, capex phasing and cash at the centre
  • Produce board, investor and lender-grade reporting and analysis
  • Sharpen cash forecasting and cost control
  • Business partner with commercial and operational leadership on the numbers that drive the network
  • Leave a functioning, well-documented FP&A capability behind you

You

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, xwzovoh CIMA) with senior FP&A leadership experience
  • Track record fixing or building an FP&A function from the ground up, ideally in a capital-intensive, PE-backed or infrastructure business
  • Strong on modelling, forecasting and unit economics
  • Comfortable operating at pace with imperfect data and a demanding investor audience
  • Available at short notice for an initial [3 to 6] month engagement
