We are looking for a proactive and hands-on Machine Technician to provide first-line support across a range of production machinery and software. This role is focused on ensuring the efficient operation of equipment while supporting and developing machine operators to perform at the required standard. You will play a key part in maintaining operational excellence through routine maintenance, training, and close collaboration with production and maintenance teams. Key Responsibilities Operational Excellence * Carry out routine checks and preventative maintenance on machinery, including bagging machines, ICE printers, multi-head weighers, tray sealers and depositors, in line with the PPM system * Support machine setup during breakdown situations to ensure quality and commercially viable production runs * Perform hygiene checks and cleaning of critical line components * Liaise with maintenance teams regarding PPM schedules and equipment issues * Work with contractors and suppliers on machinery setup and operational improvements * Coach and guide production colleagues on best practice machine operation * Ensure all equipment operates to required performance standards * Maintain accurate records and complete all required documentation Health & Safety * Comply with all company health and safety policies and procedures * Follow strict machine operating procedures at all times * Report any hazards or incidents using the appropriate reporting system Communication * Ensure clear communication of production requirements to team members * Complete and distribute production and maintenance records accurately and clearly About You You’ll be a practical, detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of production environments and machinery. You’ll be confident working independently, supporting colleagues, and maintaining high standards across safety, quality, and performance.
