Prescription Clerk

Job Description: Are you immediately available and happy to take on a temporary contract? Do you have previous NHS Gp experience using Systmone , We are working with a lovely GP Practice in Ongar who require the support of a Prescription Clerk on a long term part time temporary basis. Duties include (but not limited to) * Process repeat medication requests, including adding, altering and printing throughout the day. * Process acute prescriptions with support from the GP and pharmacists as and when required. * Expedite urgent prescriptions to help ensure a safe and responsive service for patients. * Scanning documents onto Systmone * Handle prescription queries and answer prescription-related queries from patients. * Communicate with patients, carers, and other health agencies over the phone to answer queries and complete requests for medication. * Liaise with duty doctor to ensure requests for prescriptions are handled in a timely way. * Ensure the service provided by the Prescription Department is effective, efficient, and accurate. * Have a thorough knowledge of and be able to diligently apply all Practice procedures and protocols accurately. Our client requires someone who can hit the ground running with a good working knowledge of Systmone and previous experience working within a GP surgery
