Team Leader and Support Worker

Rate: £17.33 per hour (£75 weekly allowance for team leader role)
Experienced support worker needed, leadership experience desirable. Experience with working with clients with an acquired brain injury desirable.

About the Role
Head‑First is recruiting caring, motivated Team Leader/Support Worker to join an established 24/7 care team supporting a woman with a profound brain injury living in her own home in Maidstone.
Our client has a brilliant sense of humour and a zest for life. He enjoys trips to the local pub, cafes, garden centre, local swimming pool and goes on holiday to Australia every year! Your role will be to help him enjoy the activities he loves, maximise his independence, and make each day meaningful.
Shifts & Pay
£17.33/hour
£75 weekly allowance for team leader role
Shifts: 3 hour evening shifts 6-9pm (Monday to Friday)
Team leader admin responsibilities, 3 hours a week flexibly, Monday-Friday 9-5 to be contactable

What We’re Looking For
An experienced support worker who would like to be a team leader.

We welcome people who can bring their own interests and strengths to the team and who are excited to engage our client in meaningful, fun activities.
You’ll need:
Full UK driving licence, access to own car, and business-use insurance
Flexibility to provide shift cover when there is sickness or annual leave, including weekends
A willingness to learn about acquired brain injury, management of diabetes and medication management.
Strong teamwork skills to manage and support the existing support worker team and the ability to advocate for a client with limited communication
Commitment to supporting the client's individual therapy goals
An Enhanced DBS (paid for if needed)
