About the role

M&E Commissioning Manager – Mechanical Bias

Location: White City, West London
Salary: £70,000 – £90,000 DOE
Employment: Permanent preferred | Contract considered
Start: ASAP / Ideally by 19th October

We are currently recruiting for an experienced M&E Commissioning Manager with a strong mechanical background to join a leading M&E contractor on a major £40m residential development in White City, West London.

The project consists of two residential plots comprising 345 apartments, alongside associated services distribution, amenity areas and office spaces.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Commissioning Manager to take responsibility for the commissioning package on a substantial residential scheme, working closely with the senior project management team to ensure successful delivery through to completion and handover.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate the M&E commissioning process, with a particular focus on mechanical building services.

*

Oversee commissioning activities, ensuring works are completed in accordance with project specifications, programme requirements and quality standards.

*

Manage commissioning witnessing, inspections and associated QA processes.

*

Coordinate with subcontractors, specialist commissioning engineers and the wider project delivery team.

*

Monitor commissioning progress, identifying potential issues and ensuring these are addressed promptly.

*

Ensure commissioning documentation, test results, certification and handover records are completed accurately.

*

Attend commissioning meetings and provide regular progress updates to the Senior Project Managers.

*

Support the successful testing, commissioning and handover of mechanical and associated M&E systems.

Experience Required

*

Previous experience as an M&E Commissioning Manager, Mechanical Commissioning Manager or in a similar commissioning leadership role.

*

Strong mechanical building services knowledge is essential, including HVAC, heating, ventilation, domestic water and associated systems.

*

Experience managing commissioning activities on large-scale residential, commercial or mixed-use developments.

*

Good understanding of commissioning procedures, witnessing, testing, QA and handover requirements.

*

Ability to coordinate multiple subcontractors and commissioning specialists.

*

Strong communication, organisational and reporting skills.

*

Comfortable working on a busy construction project and reporting to senior management.
