Family Solicitor | NQ–4 PQE

Location: Inverness | Hybrid Working Available

A highly regarded legal team in the Highlands is looking to appoint a Family Solicitor (NQ–4 PQE) to join its expanding practice in Inverness. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to a broad mix of family law matters, working closely with experienced colleagues while building your own profile within a supportive and forward‑thinking environment.

You’ll work with a diverse client base, handling everything from high‑value financial cases to sensitive family matters, with a real focus on providing practical, clear and empathetic advice.

The role

You’ll advise clients across a full spectrum of family law matters, including:

• 
  
• Financial provision on separation and divorce
• Child‑related matters such as residence, contact and relocation
• More complex cases including cross‑border disputes, adoption and surrogacy
• Supporting cases through the Sheriff Court process
• Preparing case documentation, evidence and witness statements
• Attending client meetings and court hearings
• Contributing to client updates, legal insights and team initiatives

About you

This role would suit a Family Solicitor who:

• 
  
• Has NQ–4 years’ PQE  in family law
• Enjoys working directly with clients and providing practical guidance
• Is organised and able to manage competing deadlines
• Communicates clearly and professionally
• Works well as part of a close‑knit and collaborative team
• Is keen to continue developing technical knowledge and expertise
