HVAC Engineer

Job Specification: HVAC Field Engineer Location: UK wide Job Type: Permanent Hours: Mon-Fri, Days (Flexible start/Finish times) Salary: £45,000 + overtime Approx 10 hours overtime per week The Role * We are currently recruiting for a Product Support Engineer - HVAC to join an established team working across the UK rail industry. * This is a hands-on role focused on the maintenance, fault finding, servicing and repair of HVAC systems across a range of rolling stock. * You will work on a variety of rail vehicles and projects, including Class 158s, Class 174s, Mark 4s and other rolling stock. * The role involves extensive UK-wide travel, with a significant amount of lodging away from home. * The standard working week is 40 hours, with excellent opportunities for overtime. Engineers are currently averaging around 10 hours of overtime per week. Key Responsibilities * Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on rolling stock HVAC systems * Fault finding and diagnosing HVAC issues * Servicing, repairing and replacing HVAC components * Carrying out modifications and maintenance work on rail vehicles * Working safely and efficiently at customer sites across the UK * Completing maintenance documentation and reports * Supporting a variety of rolling stock projects About You * We are looking for an experienced HVAC Engineer with previous hands-on experience working with HVAC systems. * Essential: o Previous HVAC engineering experience o Strong fault-finding and maintenance skills o Willingness to travel extensively across the UK & Ireland o Full UK driving licence * Desirable: o Previous rolling stock experience o Level 3 qualification in HVAC, Refrigeration, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline o Experience working on rail HVAC systems o Experience with train air conditioning and heating systems o Previous maintenance experience within a transport, rail or heavy engineering environment What's on Offer * £45,000+ basic salary, depending on experience * Significant overtime opportunities * Engineers currently averaging around 10 hours' overtime per week * Company van provided for business use and expenses * Company credit card * Door-to-door travel time paid, from leaving home rather than only once arriving on site * Accommodation/lodging provided when working away * Opportunity to work on a wide variety of rolling stock and major rail projects across the UK If you're an experienced HVAC Engineer looking for a role offering excellent overtime potential, extensive travel and the opportunity to work on a variety of rolling stock, we'd like to hear from you.
