Position: Mechanical Fitter

Salary: £35100 per annum

Working hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday

We are now seeking to recruit a Mechanical Fitter for a busy manufacturing company based in Bristol. The appropriate candidate will be building of commercial vehicles. Building of commercial vehicles
Responsibilities:
Fit and Fabricate metal components and structures according to specifications and drawings.
Read and interpret Engineering drawings, diagrams, and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication and production.
Operate various metal working equipment, including cutting machines, vertical drilling, bending machines and grinders.
Assemble and install mechanical components and structures.
Work to engineering drawings
Measurements using engineering measurement instruments such as Engineers Square, Vernier Calliper, Micrometer, gauges, DTI, Angle Finder etc
Requirements:
Previous experience in fitting and fabricating.
Proven track record of producing high-quality mechanical components.
Strong knowledge of precision fitting and fabricating techniques, including the use of measuring equipment.
Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings, diagrams, and specifications
Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Physical stamina to work in a fast-paced changing environment.
Preferable but non-essential to have vehicle body building experience.
Experience in welding techniques also advantageous
