NMB-Minebea UK Ltd is a global leader in the design and manufacture of precision spherical bearings, rod ends, and landing gear components for the aerospace, defence, and industrial sectors. As part of the MinebeaMitsumi Group, we supply major manufacturers including Airbus and Rolls-Royce. With continued growth at our Lincoln manufacturing site, we are now seeking an ambitious and proactive Management Accountant to strengthen the finance team and take ownership of day-to-day finance operations.
Management Accountant As the Management Accountant , you will report to the Finance Manager and play a hands-on role supporting the Finance Director. You will manage core finance activities while gaining broad exposure across the business in a well-established manufacturing environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing day-to-day finance operations and leading a small finance administration team
Preparing accurate monthly management accounts and completing balance sheet reconciliations
Monitoring and analysing costs, variances, and manufacturing performance
Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
Supporting payroll processing and acting as payroll backup
Managing purchase ledger, sales ledger, and associated financial controls
Producing financial reports and analysis for senior management
Supporting year-end audit activities and statutory reporting
Driving continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function
Liaising with internal departments to provide financial support and guidance
Contributing to ad hoc finance and business projects as required
As the Management Accountant, you will bring:
Qualified or part-qualified accountant status (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent)
Previous experience in a finance or accounting role with a strong grasp of management accounting principles
The ability to independently manage day-to-day finance operations
Experience supporting or processing payroll activities
Excellent Microsoft Excel and financial systems skills
Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
Desirable (but not essential):
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge of costing and operational finance processes
Experience supervising or mentoring finance staff
Familiarity xwzovoh with ERP systems
Recently qualified accountants are particularly encouraged to apply
