This is an exceptional opportunity to work on complex, high profile mandates across financial restructurings, distressed transactions and special situations, within a collaborative and globally integrated Banking practice.The RoleYou'll work closely with partners and senior lawyers on a broad range of restructuring and special situations matters, advising lenders, investors, corporates, boards, insolvency practitioners and financial advisers. Your work will include:Assisting on financial restructurings, workouts and liability management exercisesDrafting and negotiating restructuring and finance documentationSupporting transactions involving distressed debt, special situations lending and strategic investmentsAdvising on directors' duties, insolvency risk and creditor strategiesConducting due diligence on capital structures, security packages and creditor positionsSupporting multi jurisdictional restructurings and cross border transactionsLiaising with clients, counterparties and advisers in fast paced, time sensitive situationsContributing to business development and client initiativesThis role offers early responsibility, high quality work and exposure to both transactional and advisory elements of restructuring.Candidate RequirementsThis role is suited to a solicitor with:1-3 years' PQE gained at a leading City, international or strong regional firmExperience in restructuring and insolvency mattersStrong exposure to finance documentation and transactional workExcellent drafting, analytical and communication skillsThe ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing prioritiesA proactive, ambitious and collaborative approachQualification as an SRA registered solicitorBenefitsThe firm offers:Exposure to market leading restructuring and special situations workStructured training and development within a supportive teamOpportunities to work on complex cross border mattersA collegiate, inclusive and forward thinking cultureCompetitive compensation package including bonuses, private medical insurance and pensionHybrid working (minimum three days in office, subject to client needs)Access to a global skills academy and innovative legal solutions platformRecognition as a leading employer for diversity, social mobility and workplace cultureThe firm is committed to equal opportunities and welcomes applications from all backgrounds.
