Your Role
As a Residential Childrens Support Worker, youll play a key role in supporting and empowering young people who have experienced trauma. Youll contribute to every aspect of their care and development in a professional, compassionate, and consistent way.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the emotional, physical, and educational development of young people.
Contribute to and implement individual care plans and risk assessments.
Maintain high standards in residential care as expected by Ofsted.
Build positive, trusting relationships with children, families, and professionals.
Serve as a consistent, positive role model and mentor.
Manage challenging behaviour and support children in crisis with a calm, trauma-informed approach.
Encourage the development of independence, life skills, and social integration.
Maintain detailed, accurate records and follow procedures and risk assessments.

A genuine passion for supporting children with complex needs and trauma backgrounds.
Resilience, patience, and commitment to never giving up on a child.
Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
Experience in childrens residential care is welcomed but not essential. We value a wide range of life experiences and transferable skills, including hobbies or talents that can positively engage young people. xwzovoh
Shift Pattern & Hours
5-week rolling rota: 2 days on, 3 days off
Shifts: 10:00 AM 11:00 PM (followed by a sleep-in)
Flexibility to cover early or late shifts between 7:30 AM and 10:30 PM
Includes weekend work as part of the rota
