CNC Setter/Operator – Day Shift Location: Ely Salary: £16.00 per hour Hours: Monday to Thursday, 37.5 hours per week (Day Shift) Are you an experienced CNC Setter/Operator looking for your next opportunity? I'm recruiting for a skilled individual to join a busy and well-established manufacturing team, working on a permanent day shift. Key Responsibilities * Set and operate CNC machines efficiently and safely * Load CNC programs and produce first-off components for inspection and approval * Read and interpret engineering drawings * Maintain high levels of dimensional accuracy throughout production * Complete production documentation accurately * Carry out routine machine maintenance and maintain excellent housekeeping standards * Report tooling wear, machine faults, and quality issues promptly * Follow best machining practices to maximise efficiency and quality * Support continuous improvement initiatives, including reducing set-up and cycle times * Maintain work areas in line with 5S and workplace organisation standards What We're Looking For * Previous experience setting and operating CNC machinery * Ability to read and understand engineering drawings * Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality components * A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement * Good understanding of safe working practices within a manufacturing environment * Reliable, motivated, and able to work effectively as part of a team What's on Offer * Permanent day shift * Stable, long-term opportunity with a growing manufacturer * Supportive team environment with opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement If you're an experienced CNC Setter/Operator looking for a new challenge, we'd love to hear from you.
