Mechanical Estimator

Roles & Responsibilities Full mechanical estimating responsibility from tender enquiry through to final submission Reviewing and analysing specifications, drawings, and tender documentation Carrying out detailed take-offs for mechanical building services packages Preparing subcontractor and supplier enquiry packages Obtaining and evaluating competitive subcontractor quotations Producing accurate Tender Cost Reports and pricing documentation Conducting site surveys and attending tender meetings where required Producing value engineering proposals and cost-saving solutions Managing multiple tenders simultaneously within strict deadlines Supporting project and contract management teams throughout project lifecycle Attending post-tender and client meetings as required Requirements Minimum 5 years’ experience within Mechanical Building Services Estimating Strong understanding of mechanical building services systems and installation processes Experience pricing projects ranging from approximately £100K to £5M Ability to work independently and manage full tender lifecycle Strong knowledge of estimating software packages Excellent communication and organisational skills HNC/HND or Degree in Building Services Engineering advantageous but not essential Ability to commute to Croydon office regularly Preferred Project Exposure Commercial buildings Office fit outs Public sector projects General mechanical building services installations HVAC and pipework systems
