Associate electrical with a science campus project list

Associate level electrical engineers spend years earning a project list worth talking about. In Cambridge, the project list comes with the postcode. This associate seat sits in the building services team of a global engineering consultancy with an established Cambridge office. The local clients build laboratories, research campuses and university estates, which means electrical design with genuine technical stakes rather than repeat fit outs. You run your own schemes and client relationships, direct the engineers delivering the detail, and act as the discipline's senior voice in rooms where the decisions get made.

The national platform supplies the standards, the specialists and the headroom, while the office is compact enough for your name to mean something locally. The associate grade here comes with the things that make the title meaningful: your own client relationships, your own schemes, a visible say in how the office grows, and the backing of a national platform when a project needs specialist depth. The local market keeps generating work that justifies all of it.The practice supports flexible working and keeps its associates close to the engineering, which is why the grade here means more than it does at firms that use it as a retention badge. If you are associate grade in a market that stopped stretching you, this one will not. Salary is between £62,000 and £77,000.Send a CV or ask what is on the boards this month.
