You know those small moments, a breakthrough, a smile, a calm transition, they matter. This role is full of them.We’re looking for a patient and understanding Teaching Assistant to support pupils with autism in a specialist setting. You’ll play a key part in creating a structured, predictable environment where pupils feel safe, supported, and able to engage in their learning.What you’ll be doingSupporting pupils 1:1 and in small groupsHelping with routines, transitions, and sensory needsUsing clear communication and visual strategiesSupporting emotional regulation and positive behaviourWorking closely with teachers, SENCOs, and therapistsWhat we’re looking forExperience with autism or SEND, or a real passion to build itA calm, consistent approach, even on the trickier daysSomeone who notices the small wins and celebrates themStrong teamwork and communication skillsWhat you’ll getFree autism and SEND training, including CPD opportunitiesOngoing support from a consultant who fully understands SENAccess to a range of specialist settingsRoles starting in September, November & January.If you’re someone who brings patience, empathy, and a steady presence, this is where you’ll make a real impact.All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
