Electrician / Fire Alarm Engineer – Leeds Location: Leeds Contract: Long-term contract Rate: Day rate Start: ASAP Duration: Potentially up to 2 years ProGroup Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Electrician / Fire Alarm Engineer for a long-term contract in Leeds. Our client has secured a large ongoing FRA contract covering a portfolio of LCC council buildings across Leeds, with work expected to continue for potentially up to 2 years. This would suit a Fire Alarm Engineer with a strong electrical background who is comfortable working independently across multiple properties. The Work You will be carrying out a mixture of fire alarm and electrical works, including: * Replacing smoke and heat detectors. * Working across multiple council properties as part of the FRA contract. * Installing new fire alarm systems within converted buildings. * Installing distribution boards, main switches and multiple sensors. * Carrying out associated electrical works, testing and inspection. * Travelling between properties across Leeds each day. * Working to an appointment-based schedule. What We're Looking For Ideally, you will have: * Previous experience as a Fire Alarm Engineer. * Good electrical knowledge and experience carrying out additional electrical works. * ECS Card. * 18th Edition. * 2391-52 Inspection & Testing. * Full UK driving licence. * Own vehicle – essential due to travelling between properties. * Membership of a competency scheme to certify works – desirable, not essential.
