CAD Technician

We are seeking a CAD Technician to support our engineering team with technical drawings and models using SolidWorks. This is an entry-to-intermediate level role focused on drawing production and documentation, working under the direction of senior engineers.

Responsibilities
Produce and update 2D drawings and 3D models from sketches, instructions, or existing designs
Maintain and organise the drawing register, ensuring revisions are logged and accessible
Apply company drawing standards and title block conventions consistently
Assist engineers with basic design changes and minor tooling drawings
Support creation of simple plant/layout drawings under supervision
Prepare drawing packs and documentation for internal reviews
Check drawings for basic errors, dimensioning, and completeness before issue

Qualifications
Working knowledge of SolidWorks (or similar with a willingness to learn)
HNC/HND in engineering or equivalent practical experience; graduates or apprentices welcome
Good attention to detail and accuracy
Basic understanding of engineering drawing standards (BS 8888 or similar)
Able to work well within a small team and follow direction from senior engineers
