Role: KS4/KS5 Business & Economics Teacher Location: Horsham Area Contract: Part-Time Start Date: September 2026 Salary: MPS 1 - 6 Supply Desk is working in partnership with a well-regarded independent through school in the Horsham area, who are seeking a knowledgeable and inspiring Business and Economics Teacher to join their team on a part-time basis from September 2026. About the Role As a Business and Economics Teacher, you will deliver engaging and high-quality lessons across Key Stages 4 and 5. You will be responsible for fostering a strong understanding of business principles and economic theory, while encouraging critical thinking, real-world application, and a genuine enthusiasm for the subject. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver high-quality Business and Economics lessons aligned with GCSE and A-Level specifications Teach across KS4 and KS5, supporting students to achieve excellent academic outcomes Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners Assess, monitor, and track student progress effectively Create an engaging, inclusive, and academically rigorous classroom environment Prepare students for examinations and coursework requirements Work collaboratively with colleagues to support departmental and whole-school goals Contribute to enrichment opportunities such as enterprise activities or academic clubs Candidate Profile Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent Experience teaching Business and/or Economics at secondary level, including KS5 (desirable) Strong subject knowledge and a passion for business and economics education Excellent classroom management and organisational skills Ability to inspire and challenge high-achieving students Strong communication and interpersonal skills A commitment to high standards and student achievement Enthusiasm for working within an independent school environment Requirements UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) Two professional teaching references Eligibility to work in the UK Why Register With Us?
