Hours:
· Mon-Thurs, 7am-4pm
· Fri, 7am – 12 noon
Based South of Warrington, my client is a sheet metal fabrication company who manufacture multiple products for the global market. Due to an internal promotion, they are recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Manager who will have overall responsibility for the maintenance engineering function. I have personally worked with them for nearly twenty years, and I can highly recommend the company as a great place to work.
Role – Maintenance Manager
· Management of a multi-functional engineering team with responsibility for people training, development, motivation and inspiration.
· To implement a planned preventive maintenance plan to reduce production down time due to machine breakdowns, and to facilitate enhanced production efficiencies, raising availability and utilisation KPI's
· Control the use of external contractors through the Permit to Work System, ensuring site safety procedures are adhered to at all times
· Preparing and delivering the annual engineering budget incl facilities costs.
· Ensuring ongoing compliance with ISO14001 environmental compliance standard.
· Implement and review departmental objectives to achieve a defined suite of KPI's
· Appraise, motivate, develop and effectively performance manage the engineering team ensuring delivery against KPIs
· Analysis of machinery downtime issues using data from the maintenance computer system, identifying trends and ‘root causes' wherever possible.
· Manage energy and services reduction projects and engineering rework projects to improve cost efficiencies
Person - Maintenance Manager
· Must have at least three years' experience working as a Maintenance Manager within a manufacturing environment.
· Must have in depth core Electrical and Mechanical skillset developed in a manufacturing environment
