MIG Welder Location: Huddersfield Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:00am – 4:45pm (37-hour week) Pay: £14.00 – £15.00 per hour (depending on experience) About the Role A well-established engineering and manufacturing company based in Huddersfield is looking to recruit an experienced MIG Welder to join its growing production team. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a permanent role with the added benefit of a 4-day working week, giving you every Friday, Saturday and Sunday off. Key Responsibilities Carry out MIG welding on mild steel components to a high standard. Work from engineering drawings and production specifications. Fabricate and assemble steel components where required. Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are maintained. Operate welding and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently. Maintain a clean and organised work area. Follow all health and safety procedures. Work as part of a production team to meet daily manufacturing targets. The Ideal Candidate Previous experience as a MIG Welder within a manufacturing or engineering environment. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality. Reliable, punctual and hardworking. Able to work independently as well as part of a team. Flexible to work overtime when required. What's on Offer £14.00 – £15.00 per hour, depending on experience. Monday to Thursday working pattern – enjoy a 3-day weekend every week.
