Pathway Legal is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a prestigious law firm with its Head Office based in Belfast City Centre. Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an experienced Claims Handler / Litigation Assistant to join their successful Hearing Loss & Industrial Disease team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established litigation department where you will initially support the progression of a busy caseload before developing into a Claims Handler role with responsibility for managing your own files. Genuine long term career progression and ongoing development are on offer.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting the progression of Hearing Loss and Industrial Disease claims.
• Liaising with clients and providing a high standard of client care.
• Obtaining medical records and other relevant documentation.
• Liaising with medical experts and third parties.
• Preparing legal correspondence and documentation.
• Managing the administrative aspects of a busy caseload.
• Assisting with file management and progressing claims efficiently.
• Developing towards managing your own caseload of claims.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Previous experience within a legal, insurance or claims handling environment.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Strong communication and client care skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritise a busy workload.
• Experience within personal injury litigation would be advantageous but is not essential.
• A proactive attitude with a genuine desire to develop your career.
