Job Ref: 199873DescriptionProjects EngineerLocation: Horsham, West Sussex / HybridSalary: 40,000 – 50,000 depending on experienceWorking Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per weekThe OpportunityAre you an experienced IT professional who enjoys taking ownership of projects and seeing them through from start to finish?We're looking for a Projects Engineer to join a growing Managed Service Provider and play a key role in delivering IT, cloud and infrastructure projects for a variety of customers across the South East.This is a varied role where no two projects are the same, giving you exposure to different technologies, environments and customer requirements.The RoleWorking closely with the Projects Manager, you'll be responsible for delivering technical project work efficiently, professionally and within agreed timescales.Your responsibilities will include:Delivering IT projects to agreed timescales and standardsCarrying out technical installations and project workWorking closely with the Projects Manager on project deliveryProviding regular progress updates and identifying potential issuesScheduling project activities around budgets and deadlinesCompleting risk assessments and ensuring projects are delivered safelyMaintaining accurate project documentation and recordsProviding remote technical supportMonitoring backup systems and proactively identifying issuesTravelling to customer sites across the South East and London when requiredMaking recommendations to improve reliability, efficiency and customer experienceKey Skills & ExperienceWe're looking for someone with strong hands-on technical experience across areas such as:Microsoft 365 – Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive & Entra IDNetworking – DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Switching & VPNsWindows Server & Active DirectoryHyper-VBackup & Disaster RecoveryEndpoint Security & MFAWi-Fi configuration and deploymentIT project deliveryStrong customer-facing communication skillsExperience with any of the following would also be advantageous:UniFiIntune & AutopilotDatto RMM / Autotask PSA3CX / VoIPRDS / FSLogixAzure infrastructureSophos XGS FirewallsHuntressInkyStructured cablingCCTV / NVR systemsAbout YouYou'll be a technically capable and highly organised IT professional who enjoys taking ownership and delivering projects successfully.We're looking for someone who has:Strong technical aptitude and IT literacyExcellent organisation and workload management skillsThe ability to work independentlyStrong project management skillsExcellent communication and customer-facing skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesCommercial awareness and a strong work ethicThe ability to remain calm and resourceful under pressureA professional and customer-focused approachWhat's on Offer?40,000 – 50,000 salaryHybrid workingExposure to a wide range of technologies and customer environmentsVaried and interesting project workSupportive team environmentTraining and development opportunitiesClear opportunities for career progression23 days holiday + bank holidays, increasing with serviceCompany pensionOpportunity to make a real impact within a growing MSPThe client is looking to fill this opportunity immediately, so please apply ASAP or feel free to drop me an email with any questions to owen @ serlimited . com.SER-IN
