Functional Architecture Development Lead

Functional Architecture Development Lead You will shape and evolve complex defence system architecture across high integrity engineering programmes. This role gives you ownership of technical direction, integration decisions and system level problem solving in a highly regulated environment. Essential requirements • British Citizen or Dual national with eligibility for SC clearance • Systems engineering lifecycle experience in complex defence or aerospace environments • Proven experience defining or developing system architecture • Strong background in system integration and interface definition • Experience working with requirements and verification activities Rewards Salary up to £57,000 depending on experience What you will work on • Leading technical studies that inform future system evolution and capability • Supporting integration activity across multiple engineering teams and sub systems • Resolving complex technical issues across in service and development environments • Defining and maintaining system level architecture and design coherence • Contributing to trade studies that shape design decisions and system performance Skills and experience • Strong systems engineering lifecycle understanding • Experience with interface control and system integration • Ability to analyse complex technical data and draw conclusions • Experience supporting verification and validation activities • Comfortable working across multi disciplinary engineering teams • Proactive approach to resolving technical ambiguity Location and setup Bristol, hybrid working pattern with three days per week on site These vacancies require SC clearance.
