About the role: 

As part of the Hydro
Team, the Assistant Production
Supervisor will;
- Operate and optimise Cruachan generating units and hydro schemes in line with dispatch, plant limits, and REMIT requirements.
- Monitor plant performance, respond to alarms/trips, and support emergency situations affecting the station and transmission system.
- Maintain real-time communication with the Energy Management Centre and update system availability.
- Deliver accurate operational, maintenance, and performance records, completing planned maintenance and work orders on time.
- Conduct inspections, report defects, uphold safety rules, and support maintenance teams while maintaining high housekeeping standards.

Who we’re looking
for: 

To be successful in this
role you’ll ideally have…
- A HNC (or equivalent) in Engineering, backed by hands-on experience in power generation or a comparable industrial environment.
- The ability to demonstrate expertise in operating and maintaining large-scale plant, with a strong awareness of performance, limits, and safe working practices.
- Confidence using maintenance management systems (CMMS) to support efficient plant operations.
- Strong communication skills, able to quickly assess complex information and share clear, timely updates with a range of -stakeholders.
- An organised and proactive mindset, with the ability to prioritise effectively in a dynamic, operational setting.
