Senior Electrical Engineer

Senior Electrical Engineer Salter Grange is recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading mechanical, electrical and process engineering contractor delivering major construction projects. Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join their project team, coordinating technical design through on-site installation to successful commissioning. This is a senior role for someone who wants to be a genuine driving force behind project delivery, working closely with client representatives, the design team and the supply chain from inception through to handover. Reporting to the Group Engineering Manager and Project Manager, you'll take ownership of a project's technical delivery end to end - resolving technical issues without delay, managing procurement from enquiry through to delivery, and ensuring the plant on site is installed and commissioned correctly. As a senior member of the team, you'll be expected to represent the company's values of integrity, dependability, safety, pride and quality at every stage. Senior Electrical Engineer Responsibilities * Ensure technical issues are resolved without delay. * Manage internal procurement from equipment enquiries through requisitioning, manufacture monitoring and delivery to site, maintaining a comprehensive audit trail. * Attend and record regular supply chain meetings, monitoring progress against the construction programme. * Prepare risk assessments, method statements and all aspects relating to Health and Safety on site. * Liaise with the design team and supply chain to ensure correct operation of the plant and successful handover. * Monitor and record site progress against the construction programme. * Ensure Health, Safety, Environmental and quality procedures are followed, with adequate records maintained. * Develop the project-specific quality plan. * Hold regular meetings with the supply chain to maintain progress and match resources to the construction programme. * Liaise with the Project Manager to prepare the project close-out report. * Review resource allocation and progress with the Project Manager. * Ensure site-based personnel hold the correct training and valid certification for the project. Senior Electrical Engineer Requirements: * Detailed knowledge of the engineering role, with strong commercial understanding. * Solid grounding in Health, Safety and Environmental systems. * Awareness of your team's strengths and weaknesses, with a genuine commitment to their development. * The ability to prioritise a busy workload and operate with accountability and ownership. * Self-awareness of your own strengths and areas for development, with a commitment to ongoing growth.
