- £50,000 Location: Southampton Additional pay & bonuses: Guaranteed £2,000 salary uplift within your first year (subject to approval milestones and contract) One-off approval bonus of 5% of salary Up to 10% annual performance bonus based on quality and performance Working pattern: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm Part-time hours available Make a real difference in healthcare
- without the shift work About the role As a Functional Assessor, you'll use your clinical expertise in a new and rewarding way, carrying out functional assessments that support individuals applying for health-related benefits.
This role allows you to apply your clinical judgement while enjoying regular working hours, no night shifts, and no weekend work.
You'll be part of a supportive, multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality, evidence-based assessments.
Based at one of our UK centres, you'll benefit from a structured working environment, comprehensive training, and clear career development pathways.
What you'll do Conduct functional assessments and produce clear, accurate, high-quality reports Use clinical judgement to assess a wide range of physical and mental health conditions Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals Maintain accurate records in line with clinical governance and quality standards Engage in ongoing training, CPD, and clinical supervision Deliver assessments with empathy, professionalism, and integrity What you'll need To apply, you must: Be a registered healthcare professional (Nurse, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Paramedic, or Pharmacist) Have at least 12 months' post-registration experience within the last 5 years Have no current restrictions to practice Demonstrate strong communication, assessment, and report-writing skills Your benefits We believe in rewarding your contribution and supporting your wellbeing: Competitive salary with £1,000 uplift after 6 months (PIP only) and £1,000 after 12 months , subject to approval One-off 5% approval bonus Up to 10% annual bonus based on performance and quality 25 days' annual leave plus bank holidays (option to buy additional days) 4 CPD days per year , plus 1:1 clinical coaching and development support Annual professional registration fees paid Flexible working patterns and life-friendly hours Access to the Wisdom Wellbeing App , counselling, and mental health support Pension scheme with up to 6% employer contribution Discounts on cinema, travel, mobile contracts, and more Why SJB Medical?
