Axon Moore are partnering with a major logistics organisation in Anglesey to recruit an exceptional Head of Accounts Payable. This is a high‑impact leadership role within a complex, high‑volume environment, ideal for someone who thrives on driving transformation and elevating team performance.

The successful candidate will take full ownership of the AP function, leading a large team of 25 and spearheading the business's journey toward digitalisation, and the use of AI‑driven tools. Key Responsibilities

• Lead, inspire, and develop a large Accounts Payable team
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and high performance
• Lead on automation initiatives, including AI‑enabled solutions and workflow optimisation
• Oversee all AP operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strong financial controls
• Build effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Deliver insightful reporting and KPIs to senior finance leadership
• Champion best practice and modernisation across the AP function

About You

• Proven experience leading a large AP team ideally of 20+ in a high‑volume environment
• Strong track record of delivering automation, process improvement, and digital transformation
• Confident working with AI‑driven tools or advanced AP technologies
• Inspirational leadership style with the ability to drive engagement and performance
• Experience in logistics, manufacturing, or similarly complex industries is advantageous
