Assistant Manager / Relief Store Manager – Self Storage Location: Bracknell (base) covering Reading, Basingstoke & High Wycombe, with quarterly travel to Bristol and Kingston for store audits Salary: Up to £32,500 Hours: 40 hours per week Monday–Friday: 8:00am–6:00pm Weekend rota (1 in 3): Saturdays: 10:00am–5:00pm Sundays: 10:00am–4:00pmWe are recruiting for a dynamic and customer-focused Assistant Manager / Relief Store Manager role within a growing self-storage company. This is a multi-site position supporting several stores, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, driving sales performance, and maintaining high standards across all locations. The successful candidate will be confident leading teams, adapting quickly to different environments, and building strong customer relationships while converting warm leads into sales. Benefits Career progression opportunities within a growing business Structured training and mentoring programme Bi-annual bonus scheme Company Sick Pay Mileage reimbursement at £0.40 per mile Perkbox membership (employee perks and discounts) Long service recognition 20 days holiday plus bank holidaysKey Responsibilities Take full operational responsibility in the absence of the Store Manager Drive sales performance, manage customer enquiries, and maximise conversion rates from warm leads Build strong relationships with customers and deliver excellent service standards Lead, coach, and support team members to achieve operational and sales targets Ensure compliance with financial, operational, and Health & Safety procedures Conduct regular store audits, including quarterly visits to Bristol and Kingston Monitor store performance, reporting, and local market activity Maintain excellent store presentation and operational efficiency Adapt quickly to different teams and add value across multiple locations Support ad hoc projects and business initiatives as requiredKey Requirements Previous management or supervisory experience with the ability to deputise when required Strong numerical and analytical skills High attention to detail, particularly around compliance and audit processes Commercial awareness with the ability to identify and maximise sales opportunities Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills Ability to build rapport quickly and work effectively across different teams Full UK driving licence essential and willingness to travel between sites Business-use vehicle insurance required (salary reflects this requirement)If you are interested in this role apply directly or call (phone number removed)
