Reference: 13535Senior Site ManagerLocation: LondonWe are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Site Manager to join our Building team, taking ownership of the successful delivery of projects from inception through to completion. Reporting to the Senior Management Team, this is a key leadership role responsible for managing site operations, driving safety and quality standards, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.You will lead site teams, build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, and champion continuous improvement across all aspects of project delivery. Working closely with customers, subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams, you will play a pivotal role in achieving successful project outcomes while promoting the company’s culture, values, and operational excellence.Key DutiesLead and manage day-to-day site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, and in line with contractual requirementsBuild and maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project stakeholdersImplement company policies and procedures relating to Health & Safety, Quality, Sustainability, Environmental Management, and the Business Management SystemProactively identify and resolve project issues, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and maintain accurate compliance recordsManage and develop site teams, including line management, performance reviews, and mentoring of junior staffAbout YouYou will be an experienced construction professional with strong technical expertise, leadership capability, and a proven track record of delivering projects within a main contractor environment.You will bring:Extensive experience as a Site Manager/Senior Site Manager working for a main contractor, with strong technical construction knowledgeDegree (or equivalent) in a relevant construction discipline, SMSTS qualification, and a valid CSCS CardStrong commercial and financial awareness, with an understanding of construction contracts including NEC and JCTExcellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with experience managing and developing teamsExperience working in secure or prison environments (desirable) and the ability to obtain security clearance if requiredWhat We Can Offer YouCompetitive salary and car allowance26 days annual leave, with the option to buy or sell up to 3 daysAdditional long service leave at 3, 7, and 10 yearsPrivate medical insurance (with option to extend to family)Life assurance and pension matched up to 8%Enhanced family leave policies2 volunteering days per yearFlexible and agile working (role dependent)Employee Assistance Programme and “Perks at Work” discount platformFlexible benefits including critical illness cover, dental insurance, travel insurance, cycle to work scheme, and retail vouchersWho We AreTilbury Douglas is a leading UK building, infrastructure, engineering and fit-out company delivering vital projects across sectors including health, education, highways, justice, defence, aviation, water, and environment.Our people are at the heart of our success.
