Role: Contract Python Developers
Location: Remote
3 Months (likely extension)
£450 per day
Fully Remote
We're supporting a client in a regulated environment looking to engage an experienced Python (Django) contractor to work on a legacy system improvement project.
This role will involve working on an established platform, helping to modernise and improve performance, while ensuring stability across a live environment.
The Role
You'll be joining a small team to support the ongoing development and enhancement of an existing Django-based system, with a focus on upgrades, stability, and maintainability.
Responsibilities
Work on an existing Django application
Support upgrades and general system improvements
Help optimise performance and reliability
Contribute to API development and backend services
Support testing, deployment, and release activities
Experience Required
Strong experience with Python & Django
Background working on existing / legacy systems
Solid understanding of databases (PostgreSQL or similar)
Experience building or maintaining APIs
Familiarity with modern development practices (Docker, CI/CD, testing)
