Mid-Weight Level Developer

We’re working with a fast-growing and ambitious business in Plymouth that’s looking to add a Mid-Level Web Developer with Shopify experience to their expanding in-house team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a developer who wants to be part of a collaborative environment, working on a variety of ecommerce and web projects with real impact. The Opportunity You’ll be responsible for developing, customising and maintaining Shopify-based websites, working closely with designers, account managers and senior team to deliver fast, scalable and conversion-focused online stores. This is a great opportunity for a developer who enjoys variety across projects and hands-on Shopify development. Key Responsibilities * Build and customise Shopify themes using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript * Translate UI/UX designs into responsive, production-ready storefronts * Develop and maintain custom Shopify features and components * Integrate third-party apps, APIs, and services (payments, shipping, CRM, etc.) * Optimise website performance, speed, and SEO * Troubleshoot, debug, and maintain existing Shopify stores * Collaborate with internal teams to deliver projects to deadline and specification Requirements * 2–5 years’ web development experience * Strong hands-on experience with Shopify development * Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 * Experience working with Shopify themes and APIs * Understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility * Familiarity with Git version control * Awareness of SEO and performance optimisation best practices Desirable Skills * Experience developing Shopify apps * Knowledge of React or modern JavaScript frameworks * Experience with Shopify Hydrogen or headless commerce Package & Benefits * £42,000 annual salary * Full-time, on-site role in Plymouth * Varied project work across multiple brands and industries * Supportive team environment with career progression opportunities If you are interested or have the relevant experience and are currently looking for a new challenge then please submit an up to date CV by clicking the ‘apply’ button.
