Role Summary
As an OpenShift Developer, you will oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of containerised applications on Red Hat OpenShift. Collaborating closely with DevOps, platform engineering, and security specialists, you will ensure the efficient delivery of scalable, secure cloud-native solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and deploy containerised applications utilizing OpenShift and Kubernetes environments.
Design and implement robust CI/CD pipelines to enable automated testing and seamless deployment.
Monitor, optimise, and troubleshoot OpenShift platforms to ensure peak system performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate complex applications onto container platforms.
Enforce security best practices, access control protocols, and maintain OpenID and PKI standards.
Maintain clear technical documentation covering OpenShift configurations, workflows, and architecture.
Stay updated on emerging trends across the OpenShift and Kubernetes open-source ecosystems.
Required Skills and Experience
3?5 years of background in software development or DevOps, featuring a strong focus on OpenShift or Kubernetes.
Proficient with containerisation technologies, including Docker and Podman.
Hands-on experience with automated CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
Sound knowledge of Linux administration and shell scripting.
Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code frameworks, particularly Ansible or Terraform.
Practical understanding of major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their integration with OpenShift.
Demonstrable understanding of OpenID and PKI protocols.
Strong analytical problem-solving skills and clear communication abilities.
Due to the highly sensitive nature of this work, candidates must hold active UK enhanced Developed Vetting (eDV) clearance.
