Trainee Field Engineer (Refrigeration)

JR312 - Trainee Field Engineer (Refrigeration) Location: Covering South & South West Salary: £26,000 - £30,000 Per Annum + Company vehicle + Bonus Working Hours: Monday - Friday - 40 hour working week. Overview: First Military Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Field Service Engineer on behalf of the UK’s largest manufacturer of medical & scientific refrigeration. You will be responsible for the maintenance, UKAS calibration, and repair of medical refrigeration equipment, including: Pharmacy fridges and freezers, Blood fridges, Plasma freezers, Monitoring systems. Duties and Responsibilities: Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and repair of medical and laboratory refrigeration equipment. Work independently and efficiently while representing the company professionally. Accurately record work completed, travel and labour times, and expenses, submitting job reports daily. Maintain company-provided van, tools, stock levels, and equipment in line with company policy. Plan and prioritise work based on office scheduling, raising any potential delays early. Ensure confidentiality on all customer sites, following GDPR principles. Skills and Qualifications: The ideal candidate should be based in Yorkshire, to predominantly cover Yorkshire and the Northeast area (M1, M62 corridor) Full UK driving licence – essential. Self-motivated, well organised, and able to work independently. Previous field service experience desirable (but not essential). F-Gas qualification desirable (but not essential). Strong communication skills with neat and accurate handwriting. Basic English, Maths and IT skills are required. In return, the client offers: Overtime opportunities (once trained).
