Are you an experienced MET Technician, Strip & Fit Technician or Vehicle Technician looking for a stable Monday to Friday role with the opportunity to secure a permanent position?
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established automotive repair operation in Southampton, seeking an experienced technician with strong strip and fit capabilities to join their growing team.
This is a hands-on role where you'll be responsible for removing and refitting vehicle components to support accident repairs and vehicle refurbishment work. The ability to carry out strip and fit tasks efficiently and accurately is essential.
As an MET Technician / Strip & Fit Technician, you will:
Strip and refit vehicle components safely and efficiently.
Remove and refit panels, trims, mechanical and electrical components.
Work closely with painters and repair technicians to ensure vehicles are completed on time.
Identify and report additional damage or replacement parts requirements.
Ensure all work is completed to manufacturer and safety standards.
Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
What We're Looking For
IMI Level 2 Motor Vehicle Qualification or equivalent.
Previous experience within a bodyshop, accident repair centre, main dealer or workshop environment.
Strong strip and fit / MET technician experience.
Good knowledge of vehicle mechanical and electrical systems.
High attention to detail and quality standards.
Full UK Driving Licence.
